APPEARANCE MEDICINE

Mark Morunga

First impressions can count and our skin is often the first thing other people notice. As a doctor at East Care Accident and Medical Centre, Dr Mark Morunga attends to all kinds of medical issues and says signs of ageing can be as troubling to some people as physical injury.

Aware of the growing interest in Appearance Medicine, Dr Morunga is offering Botox treatments at East Care’s Specialist Centre from April 2010.

“Botox relaxes the muscles which cause frowning and results in lines across the forehead, “cross feet” around the eyes and vertical frown lines above the nose,” he says. “It’s use results in a natural appearance and by helping prevent lines from forming, Botox delays the ageing process. With a more youthful appearance, self-esteem is boosted. Botox also helps prevent excess sweating.”

Dr Morunga adds the change in demeanor among patients who try Botox can be amazing. “Many become much more exuberant and confess to feeling rejuvenated.”

The new Botox service will be available by appointment at the East Care Specialist Centre on 277 1540
