Urgent care hours are changing at our clinic.
East Care’s overnight service is closing on Friday, December 18th.
Our new hours will be 7 am-11 pm every day, including weekends and all public holidays.
It is with enormous regret that we’re having to close this important overnight service, after 24 years of serving the community 24/7. However, long term underfunding and a subsequent lack of clinical resources have meant we can no longer safely service the substantial overnight need.
We know how significant this change will be to our community who have heavily utilised the service, and who also appreciate how hard our staff have worked to care for them. Our new urgent care hours will reduce clinical risk and relieve the extra pressures and demands that our overnight service has required of our health professionals.
Whilst our hours will be changing, our long term commitment remains focused on providing the highest quality urgent care and support which our patients in east and south Auckland deserve. Our other non-urgent services will continue as usual.
