COVID-19 affects different people in different ways. However, most infected people will develop mild to moderate illness and recover without hospitalization.
What are the most common Covid Symptoms?
Sometimes, it can be hard to distinguish cold and flu from symptoms of Covid-19. Nonetheless, be on the lookout for:
- fever
- dry cough
- tiredness
Less common symptoms:
- aches and pains
- sore throat
- diarrhoea
- conjunctivitis
- headache
- loss of taste or smell
- a rash on the skin, or discolouration of fingers or toes
How does Covid spread?
Current evidence suggests that the virus spreads mainly between people in close contact with each other, typically within 1 metre (short-range). A person can be infected when aerosols or droplets containing the virus are inhaled or come directly into contact with the eyes, nose, or mouth.

Can I catch Covid if I’m fully vaccinated?
Naturally, you can expect to have a far greater defence if you have had two shots. However, it is still possible to contract and pass it on to people you come in contact with, so please get tested if you have symptoms. Also, remember that immunity wanes after six months, so you should book a booster if you’re 18+.
