Registered Nurse – Permanent and Casual positions
East Care is an Urgent Care Centre that has been serving East Auckland for 30 years. We are a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, intensive care paramedic and health care assistants – all led by the Clinical Director.
We are looking for both permanent and casual Registered Nurses who want to provide high quality urgent care, who enjoy the benefits of working with a close-knit team and have a passion for quality service delivery.
To be part of the team you will need:
- Ideally you will have a minimum of two years post graduate experience
- Skills for Urgent Care, e.g. triage, resuscitation, wound care, fracture management, plastering skills, IV cannulation, etc.
- Awareness of ACC and PHC
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Current Indemnity Insurance
- Must have Permanent Residency or Citizenship
- Must have full NZ driving licence
- Being familiar with MedTech 32 or MedTech Evolution (or similar) would be an advantage

Clinical Nurse Specialist
We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist preferably in accident and medical or appropriate emergency/acute nursing care to join our team. This position is for a part time or full-time role providing urgent , 7 days a week.
About the role:
East Care is a multidisciplinary Urgent Care center and you will be working closely with the Clinical Director, Nurse Manager, Nurse Educator and the extended clinical team (nurses, nurse practitioners, Drs and Intensive Care Paramedics).
In this role you will:
- Provide the end to end care predominately for our ACC patients (specialist nursing assessment, order diagnostics, interpret investigations, implement care plans) with support of the team.
- Role Model contemporary practice and participate in training/study days to keep abreast of currents trends and issues in nursing.
- Provide advanced specialist nursing care to carry comprehensive assessment, identify health needs, order diagnostics, interpret investigations, formulate and implement care and evaluation of patients and whanau.
- Be a resource for all clinical staff and share knowledge so that best practice is always maintained.
To be part of the team you will need:
- Be a Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate and scope of practice applicable to working in an urgent care setting
- Have a post-graduate certificate in clinical nursing practice, or be working towards a post-graduate clinical assessment paper of equivalence
- ACLS level 6
- The ability to work to work under pressure, performing to deadlines and is adaptable and flexible.
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Expert level 4 on PDRP or equivalent
