This long weekend, East Care is able to offer free Urgent Care services to eligible people in the Counties Manukau community.
As of 5 pm Friday, 4 June, we’ll be one of the clinics in the Counties Manukau area listed to offer free Urgent Care. This will apply through the whole Queen’s Birthday weekend. We’re open 7 am-11 pm every day, and this free service will end at 11 pm on Tuesday 8th June, 2021.
People eligible must be:
- Children under 14;
- People over 65s;
- Community services cardholders;
- High user Health cardholders, and
- People living in a quintile five area
You’ll be eligible for a consultation fee waiver if you need urgent care only e.g. things that need to be seen immediately if you aren’t able to see your regular GP.
The fee waiver includes presentations for medical consultations and ACC co-payments however, fees outside the consultation can still be charged by the clinics.
For routine care such as the treatment of long-term conditions, repeat prescriptions, and Doctor’s Certificates please contact your usual GP.
If you are in our community and need help this weekend, please do make use of this free service. This will ensure you receive the care you need as quickly as possible and also free up our local hospital Emergency Department focus on emergencies.
