A long term team member, Dr Lorraine Forbes, has been working at East Care since she emigrated to New Zealand in 1993, before the site moved from Aberfeldy Avenue. During that time, she has also been a General Practitioner in Howick.

Therefore, it’s safe to say that Dr Forbes is a true East Auckland local!

A Zimbabwean by birth, Lorraine Forbes qualified as a doctor in 1989 at the University of Cape Town. Later, she found her calling while working in South Africa as an Emergency Care GP. New Zealand sounded like a great place to bring up children, so Dr Forbes moved to Auckland with her family. She has 2 adult sons, and 2 grandchildren.

Parking information. Onsite parking is readily available both in front of the clinic and behind the facility. Moreover, we have Disabled parking right outside our main doors. Our main entrance is on Botany Road.
